Katie Holmes successfully completed the 26.2 miles of the New York City marathon yesterday morning.
Dressed in a FDNY baseball cape and purple tank top, People.com reports that the actress went practically unrecognised by her fellow runners and walkers. She completed the event in a time just short of five and a half hours.
She was greeted at the finish-line in Central Park by her husband Tom Cruise and daughter, Suri. Also present at the end of the marathon were her parents as well as her mother-in-law.
Before her arrival, inside the banquet tent set up in Central Park – and with his daughter at his side – Cruise told People that he is "very" proud of Holmes, whom he finds "inspired. She trained for three months."
After the race, Holmes said: "I’m good, but I’m feeling very tired."
