Actress Brooke Smith has joined 'Grey's Anatomy' as a regular cast member.
Smith has guest starred numerous times in the series as the no-nonsense cardiothoracic surgeon Dr Erica Hahn.
The actress' most famous big screen role was as kidnap victim Catherine Martin in 'The Silence of the Lambs'; her other film credits include 'The Namesake', 'Melinda and Melinda' and 'In Her Shoes'.
Her many TV credits include 'Weeds', 'Crossing Jordan' and 'Law & Order'.
