Footballer David Beckham has said his close friends Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have never tried to convert him and wife Victoria to Scientology.
Digital Spy reports that Beckham, who moved to Los Angeles this summer, has described the acting couple as "amazing people" who are "just so positive about life".
But Beckham dismissed claims that he and Victoria had the couple's views "shoved down their throats".
Speaking to Arena magazine: "We respect their religion. We respect everything they do and believe in. But they have never turned around to us and said, 'You have to be a part of this', because that's not what they're about. It's never been about that.
"There's been nothing shoved down our throats because friends don't do things like that."
