Spears accused of 'chaotic' parenting

Pop singer Britney Spears rarely engages with her two young sons, according to the parenting coach who is working with the singer.

Court documents released yesterday, after Spears failed to regain joint custody of the children, also said that the singer clearly loved 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James.

The parenting coach said, however, that Spears' behaviour "ranged from chaotic to almost sombre with little communication at all".

"It seems that her choices are dependent more upon what she (Spears) wants to do at any given time rather than what would be more enjoyable for the children," the coach said.

Court documents also claimed that Spears "rarely engaged with the children in conversation or play", saying that the children had no routine.

Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon ruled on Tuesday that Spears can now visit her sons three times a week, with a court monitor present, and must be tested for drugs and alcohol twice a week.

Spears was also ordered to child-proof the swimming pool at her home.
