The winners of the awards in the various categories at the Cork Film Festival have been announced, with directors from Ireland, England, Sweden and Israel among those honoured.
The Best International Short Film Award went to the Israeli film 'Tolya' (Director: Rodeon Brodsky), with Special Mentions for Romania's 'The Tube with a Hat' (Director: Radu Jude) and Poland's 'Suburban Train' (Director: Maciej Cuske).
The award for Best European Short Film went to the English film 'The Apology Line' (Director: James Lees), with a Special Mention for the Irish film 'Frankie' (Director: Darren Thornton).
'Frankie' was also the winner of the award for Best Irish Short Film, with a Special Mention for Naomi Wilson's 'An Cailleach Bhéarra'.
The Claire Lynch Award for Best First Time Director went to Keith Mannix for his film 'Death in the West', with Colm Quinn receiving a Special Mention for his film 'The Discreet Charms of the Refugee'.
The Made in Cork Award went to 'Torture Is Us' (Director: Noel Twomey) and the award for Best Irish Language Short Film went to Cathal Watters for his film 'Rolla Saor'.
The Award of the Festival for Best Short Film went to Bulgaria's 'The Minutes After' (Director: Nikolay Todorov).
The Outlook Award for Best LGBT Short Film went to Germany's 'Gero, Gerd and the Great' (Director: Lisa Adler).
'New Boy' (Director: Steph Green) won the Audience Award for Best International Short Film.
The Audience Award for Best Irish Short Film went to Peter Foott's 'An Créatúr'.
Sweden's 'The Last Dog in Rwanda' won the Youth Jury Award for Best International Short Film.
Michael O'Gorman won the Kommando Film Award for 'Piebald'.
