Britney Spears is reportedly using an asthma inhaler to help her lose weight ahead of the release of her comeback album.
According to Heat magazine, Spears has turned to the medical aid to suppress her appetite before her new album ‘Blackout’ hits shelves at the end of the month.
She has also started eating special Hoodia lollipops, which are also said to suppress appetite.
However Dr Halle Mir from LA's Cedars Sinai Hospital warned the magazine that Spears could jeopardise her health by using an inhaler.
He said: "If she's using it as a weight-loss tool, she's probably relying on epinephrine, which could suppress her appetite. She's risking damage to her lungs and heart. She could even bring on asthmatic symptoms."
He also cautioned against Hoodia lollies, saying they can lower blood sugar levels, cause mood swings, and increase both cholesterol and blood pressure.
