'Dirty Dancing' star Patrick Swayze is to play the lead role in the pilot episode of a new FBI drama series called 'The Beast'.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the series will be made by the A&E Network in the US with Swayze playing an unorthodox, veteran agent who must train in a new partner (Travis Fimmel) while being the focus of an Internal Affairs team.
Commenting on Swayze's character in the series, A&E's Vice President of Drama, Tana Nugent Jamieson, said: "Patrick plays a tough, darker character that needs some likeability, and he definitely has that."
Shooting on the pilot episode is due to start later this year.
