‘Charlie’s Angels’ director and OC executive producer Joseph McGinty Nichol is in talks to direct the next Terminator movie, which is expected to start filming early next year.
The script is expected to focus on John Connor organising the surviving humans to resist Skynet's army of robots. It will take place after the apocalypse (the end of ‘Terminator 3’) and likely feature the "origin" story of terminators.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is not expected to resume his role as the terminator. Vin Diesel is reportedly in talks with producers to sign up as the lead character in the new movie.
McGinty Nichol, who works under the name McG, has previously worked on a number of TV series and films, including last year's ‘We Are Marshall’ and TV show ‘Supernatural’.
