A judge in California has ordered Britney Spears to surrender custody of her two children to the boys' father, her former husband Kevin Federline.
California Superior Court Judge Scott M Gordon ruled that Federline would take custody of two-year-old Sean Preston and one-year-old Jayden James from tomorrow, Wednesday, "until further order of the court".
25-year-old Spears and 29-year-old Federline have been fighting a bitter custody battle.
Last month the judge ordered Spears to undergo random drug and alcohol testing twice a week because of "habitual, frequent and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol". He also ordered that the singer hire a parenting coach.
Representatives of Spears and Federline were not available for comment.
They had previously shared equal custody of their two children but in August Federline's lawyer, Mark Kaplan, said his client was seeking greater custody of the children to keep them "isolated from risks".
