Oasis star Noel Gallagher has said that his new born son Donovan will go on to become a legend.
The guitarist became a father for the second time over the weekend after his partner Sara MacDonald gave birth at 11.15 on Saturday.
The 7lb 5oz boy has been named Donovan Rory MacDonald Gallagher and Gallagher reportedly texted all his close friends and family after the birth to make the declaration.
According to The Sun, Gallagher's text read: "He shall go by the name of Donovan Rory MacDonald Gallagher and he will be a legend. Give thanks and praise."
Gallagher had told friends that he planned to call his son Sven, after the current Manchester City football manager Sven Goran Eriksson.
However, his partner Sara MacDonald apparently managed to persuade him to change his mind.
A source commented: "During the pregnancy Noel was calling the bump Little Sven. He said he wanted to name the lad after the City boss. Luckily he’s ended up as Donovan."
It is the first child for the couple but the second for Gallagher, who has a seven-year-old daughter, Anais, by ex-wife Meg Mathews.
The pair have been together for seven years. Gallagher split from Mathews in 2000 after a three-year marriage and they divorced in January 2001.
