Madonna has met Israeli President Shimon Peres during her visit to Jerusalem.
A spokesperson for the Israeli President said that the pair gave each other gifts and discussed world peace during their meeting on Saturday.
Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie were seen entering Peres' home after the end of the Jewish New Year at sunset on Saturday.
The singer arrived in Israel last week to attend a conference on Kabbalah, the Jewish mysticism which she is a follower of.
