After weeks of speculation, Britney Spears has confirmed that she will sing at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, which take place this Sunday, 9 September.
Billboard reports that Spears will open the show in Las Vegas with her new single 'Gimme More'.
She will also perform the new track 'Cry' with the help of illusionist Criss Angel.
Spears' new, as-yet-untitled album is due for release on 13 November.
