'Coronation Street' character Jodie Morton is set to pursue cabdriver Lloyd Mullaney after he does a good deed for her family.
According to the show's official website, actress Sam Seager, who plays Jodie, said: "Kayleigh has gone out with her mates and Jodie gets concerned and asks Jerry to go and collect her."
"But he says no because he’s had a drink, so Lloyd volunteers. At first she's a bit miffed, because she’s like: 'Who the hell are you, sticking your nose in?' but Lloyd stands up to her and goes to fetch Kayleigh."
But later poor Kayleigh gets sick in Lloyd's cab, leaving Jodie mortified about the whole incident.
Seager said: "Jodie is taken back at how nice he is. That's when things hot up. They have a really good chat and Lloyd tells her she should be out more and not having to act the mum and she agrees. They do flirt a bit."
"He's funny and down to earth and I don't think he would take any of her messing. He takes on her stubbornness, turns it around and makes her laugh so they are a good match."
