'Coronation Street' is set for a dramatic storyline when teenager David Platt gets hold of a gun and takes aim at his mother Gail.
According to the show's official website, the dramatic moment comes after David pulls a string of mean stunts on his family.
Actor Jack P Shepherd, who plays David in the show, said: "He’s determined to make her life a total misery."
“First he unplugs the freezer so the kitchen floods, then he takes delivery of a parcel addressed to her and throws it in Rita’s bin."
Next week David, who has previously told Jason that he thinks about killing his family, will get hold of neighbour Daryl's air rifle.
Shepherd reveals: “They’re messing about in the garden when David spots Gail coming out of the corner shop laden with bags."
David grabs the gun and takes aim at his mother but it has not yet been revealed whether or not he shoots Gail.
