Eli Dingle's life is left hanging in the balance in 'Emmerdale' after his plan to gain revenge on his brother Marlon goes badly wrong.
According to the show's official website, Eli bundles Marlon into a van next week and drives him to an isolated car park, intent on killing him.
He can no longer blackmail his brother over their botched robbery attempt because Marlon's wife Donna has found out about their crime, so Eli decides that Marlon must pay.
Actor Mark Charnock, who plays Marlon Dingle, said: "Eli won't admit it, but he wants everything that Marlon has - the wife, the lovely house, money in his pocket - and he's desperately jealous of his brother."
"Eli completely flips out. He bashes Marlon over the head, throws him into the back of a van and takes him to this car park. And I think Eli does intend to kill him. Marlon is absolutely terrified and is convinced he's going to die," the actor said.
But after a struggle Marlon pushes Eli, causing him to stumble off the roof of a building. He manages to grab hold of the edge of the roof as he falls but it has not yet been revealed whether or not Marlon will be able to save his brother.
