Fears are growing for singer Amy Winehouse after she was photographed bloodied and battered fleeing a hotel in London.

According to reports, a worried onlooker called the police in the early hours of yesterday morning when Winehouse and her husband Blake Fielder-Civil emerged from the hotel.

Reports claim that Winehouse ran from the hotel, chased by her husband, and later flagged down a stranger's car.

The shocking images taken at the scene show the singer wearing blood-soaked ballet shoes, with bruises to her neck, bandages on her arms and make-up smeared down her face. Fielder-Civil had livid scratches covering his face and neck.

Police confirmed that they were called to an incident but said that no charges were filed as a result.

A police spokesperson said: "Following a third party report to police regarding suspected injuries to a woman in her 20s, police officers spoke with the woman and no criminal offences have been alleged."

An hour later the couple reportedly met up in Soho and walked back to the Sanderson Hotel, where they have been staying since they left rehab.
