Romance may be in the air when 'Coronation Street's Liam Connor falls for local hairdresser Maria Sutherland.
According to the show's official website, actor Rob James-Collier, who plays factory owner Liam in the show, said that flirting is not one of his strong points.
He said: "Liam's been unlucky in love recently, so I'm hoping he'll finally find happiness."
"But I do find it really embarrassing and hard to flirt, I haven’t mastered that yet, I’m rubbish at it," the actor said.
When asked if his character Liam was over Leanne, he said: "There are a few scenes where you can see that he’s not entirely over her."
"It takes a while for the wounds to heal and he does have a moment when he starts to fall for her again but stops himself, remembering what she did to him."
Speaking about his new relationship with Maria, the actor said: "I'd like to see it go wrong, because a rogue male is always more interesting than a married male. It gives him free license to do other exciting things."
