It has been announced that Amy Winehouse has postponed her autumn tour of the US and Canada.
Billboard says that a statement from Winehouse's American label Universal said that the cancellation was due to "the rigours involved in touring".
The statement continued: "Amy has been ordered to rest and is working with medical professionals to address her health."
The tour was due to begin on 8 September in Toronto; the trade daily says that it is likely that the tour will be rescheduled for next year.
Winehouse has been one of the musical success stories in the US this year, selling over 1m copies of her second album 'Back to Black'.
Her tour of Europe in October and November is still scheduled to begin on 22 October in Amsterdam.
