British actress Keira Knightley has given a warning to young people who want to be rich and famous.
"It frightens me when kids go, 'I want to be famous'," she said in an interview with the Radio Times.
"Why? Because you can get into a restaurant? You know what? If you book, you can get into a restaurant! 'I want to be rich and famous'. Go and work on the stock market."
The 22-year-old was also unimpressed with people's obsession with her looks, saying "it's not me, it's something other people have created."
Knightley is soon to appear in the film adaptation of Ian McEwan's novel 'Atonement', which premieres at the Venice Film Festival later this month.
The film opens in Ireland on 7 September.
