Rock star Pete Doherty was arrested for suspected drug possession just hours after performing at the V Festival.
The 28-year-old Babyshambles frontman was arrested in east London at about 2am today.
He is being held at an East London police station after the car he was travelling in was stopped by police.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "A 28-year-old man was arrested in east London on suspicion of possession of drugs. He is in custody at an east London police station."
The Daily Mail today reported that Doherty is back with ex-girlfriend Irina Lazareanu, who was chosen by Kate Moss to model her TopShop collection.
Pete was seen arriving to meet the Canadian model at Claridge's Hotel in London's West End before travelling to the V Festival.
