Following the casting of George 'Mr Sulu' Takei in the first series of 'Heroes', another 'Star Trek' legend will appear in the second season of the show.
TV Guide in the US reports that Nichelle Nichols, who played Lieutenant Uhura in 'Star Trek', has been cast in a short-term role for the second series of 'Heroes'.
A spokesperson for US TV network NBC said that Nichols would play Nana, the New Orleans-based grandmother of Monica (Dana Davis), one of the new heroes in the second series.
The second series of 'Heroes' premieres on US TV on 24 September.
