'Coronation Street' star Antony Cotton has pulled in nearly twice as many viewers as Richard and Judy on the first day of his chat show.
'That Antony Cotton Show', screened on ITV, attracted two million viewers yesterday, a 17.6% audience share.
Richard and Judy's show on Channel 4 only managed to pull in 1.1 million viewers in opposition, a share of 9.7%.
Cotton's show is a mix of comedy and celebrity chat. The actor has been given time off from his role as Sean Tully in 'Coronation Street' in order to record the show, which will run for five weeks.
