'Grease is the Word' winners Susan McFadden and Danny Bayne have made their West End debut as Sandy and Danny in 'Grease'.
The pair took to the stage at London's Piccadilly Theatre together for the first time last night, after being in rehearsals since winning the ITV show.
After the show 'Grease is the Word' judge David Ian said: "I thought it went very well. Danny and Susan did terrifically. I am a very happy producer."
"They were the right couple without a shadow of a doubt. I got the one I wanted," he said.
Fellow-judge Sinitta said: "Thank God we chose Danny and Susan. They were just incredible tonight."
"I cannot believe that eight or 10 weeks ago they were just amateurs doing a talent audition to get these roles. They were so professional and so perfect. I was like a proud mum sitting there."
Speaking after the show, Susan McFadden said: "It was absolutely amazing. It was a great feeling."
"I did not feel that nervous until I was on stage and felt the audience. Then my legs started shaking."
Her co-star Danny Bayne said: "When everyone stood up at the end of the show and just appreciated what we had done, it was like nothing I'd ever felt before."
