'The Sopranos' star Michael Imperioli has been cast opposite Rachel Weisz, Ryan Gosling, Susan Sarandon, Stanley Tucci and young Irish actress Saoirse Ronan in director Peter Jackson's adaptation of the Alice Sebold bestseller 'The Lovely Bones'.
'The Lovely Bones' tells the story of Susie Salmon (Ronan), a murdered girl who observes her family and killer from heaven.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Imperioli, who played Christopher Moltisanti in 'The Sopranos', will play the detective investigating the girl's death.
Filming on 'The Lovely Bones' begins in October in Pennsylvania and New Zealand.
