Portuguese fado singer Mariza and Natacha Atlas, who fuses North African and Arabic music with electronic beats, are among the musical highlights of this year's Festival of World Cultures.
The 2007 festival in Dún Laoghaire runs from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 August, with more than 150 events in 40 venues.
It will feature artists from 80 countries with a diverse programme of music, street theatre, dance, club nights, markets, exhibitions, talks, workshops and activities for children.
This year's festival also includes an environmental awareness fair, an international food market, workshops, free outdoor music concerts, family events and a host of late-night parties.
A one-hour programme on the festival will be broadcast on RTÉ Two on Sunday 26 August, at 11pm.
