Filmmaker Guy Ritchie is to direct a big screen adaptation of 'The Gamekeeper' comic series.
The comic, which launched a limited ten-issue run in March, is written by Andy Diggle after Ritchie developed the concept.
The story is about a man called Broc, the caretaker of a Scottish country estate who has to use his tracking skills and knowledge of the animal kingdom when armed killers invade his sanctuary.
Warner's production president Jeff Robinov said: "After reading Guy's comics, we knew instantly that the action-packed story and complex characters would resonate with film audiences."
Ritchie is the director of 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels', 'Snatch', 'Swept Away', starring his wife, Madonna, and most recently 'Revolver'.
He is currently filming 'RocknRolla', starring Thandie Newton.
