'Coronation Street's Leanne Battersby begins to work her charms on corner shop owner Dev Alahan when it becomes clear that her new business is in huge financial trouble.
According to the show's official website, Jane Danson, who plays Leanne in the show, says that her character sees Dev as a good business option.
Danson said: "Dev is Leanne’s best bet. He's a player with a string of successful businesses and, most importantly, he has cash to invest."
Leanne invites Dev to dinner in her new Italian restaurant but he doesn't seem interested in her proposition.
"He's just humouring her. Just seeing what she's likely to do and how she goes about pitching her proposal to him," she said.
"Leanne wants Dev to be her above-board business partner. There’s a moment when Dev kind of flirts with Leanne, giving her the opportunity to offer herself in return for money. But she doesn't go there."
"She wants everything to be professional and businesslike. She’s never achieved anything and this is her chance."
