Following claims of odd behaviour on a recent photo shoot, OK! magazine's editor-in-chief has said that she witnessed an "emotional cry for help" from Britney Spears.
Sarah Ivens of OK! magazine issued a statement about the magazine's interview and photo shoot with Spears after media reports claimed that the interview would be detrimental to the singer's career, such was her bizarre behaviour.
Ivens said: "OK! magazine spent a heartbreaking day with Britney Spears and witnessed first-hand an emotional cry for help that will leave you shocked and sad."
On the day of the interview, the singer reportedly refused to have a professional hair stylist and make-up artist present and instead insisted that her friends style her.
According to US reports, Spears phoned the magazine personally and requested the interview and photo shoot. The interview is due to be published later this week.
