In an interview with OK! Magazine, Kerry Katona said that she thought her family was going to die during an armed raid on her home.
The former pop singer and reality television star and her five-month-old daughter were held at knifepoint by three masked men.
Her husband Mark Croft was forced to help the raiders to find valuable items in the house.
"It was the most terrifying night of my life. I thought we were all going to die or that they'd take Heidi away from us. I'm just so thankful that Molly and Lilly [her daughters by ex-husband Brian McFadden] weren't in the house," she said in the interview.
"I'm not sleeping, I'm scared to go back to the house and I get frightened when Mark leaves me alone."
Katona, who has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, checked into the Priory clinic after the attack for a couple of days.
Investigations continue into the violent robbery, which took place on 16 July.
