Actor Linus Roache, the son of 'Coronation Street' legend William Roache, is joining the cast of 'Law & Order'.
Roache will play an Executive Assistant District Attorney who works with District Attorney Jack McCoy (Sam Waterston) in the series.
Commenting on his casting, the show's executive producer Dick Wolf said: "I've known Linus' work for several years. He is an actor who totally gets inside his roles. I think he and Sam are going to raise the bar and add intellect and passion in the back half of the show."
Roache's film credits include 'Batman Begins', 'Blind Flight', 'The Chronicles of Riddick' and 'Priest'; as a child actor he appeared in 'Coronation Street'.
