Actresses Kirsten Dunst, Kate Hudson and Rita Wilson are to make their directorial debuts by making short films for American magazine Glamour.
Past directors include Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, Bryce Dallas Howard and writer Talia Lugacy.
The films will be based on true stories submitted to a Glamour competition.
Dunst, Hudson and Wilson each picked one story to adapt and shoot in Los Angeles in just three days with a budget of approximately $500,000.
Kurt Russell and Dakota Fanning will be appearing in Hudson's film, while Wilson has signed up Jeanne Tripplehorn and Aisha Tyler for hers.
The films will premiere in Los Angeles on 9 October.
