John Carney, the writer-director of the RTÉ TV series 'Bachelors Walk' and the award-winning Irish film 'Once', is to direct a new comedy in the US called 'Town House'.
Variety reports that the film tells the story of the son of a dead rock star who has been able to live the life of a recluse by selling off his late father's memorabilia.
But he runs out of things to sell and is forced to put the house his father left him on the market - a move that forces him to face up to where he is in his life.
The film is based on the novel of the same name by Tish Cohen and will shoot on the East Coast of America in January.
