Singer Lily Allen has blasted the media for twisting the words she wrote in a recent blog posting.
The star said that she is now afraid to post messages on her MySpace page in case her comments are misinterpreted by the media.
Allen said in a new posting: "The thing is, I'm not going to write here so often now."
"This used to be one of my favourite things to do. I could come on here and vent how I feel honestly and get feedback from you guys."
She then said that tabloid newspapers had ruined this idea for her, claiming that everything she writes "gets twisted and rewritten".
"In fact I hate it. I don't want to be a celebrity. I am a singer - I write songs, that's it," she wrote.
