Former 'Celebrity Big Brother' star Chantelle Houghton has said that she is still in love with her singer husband Preston, despite the couple's decision to split.
The reality television star told OK! magazine that living in Brighton, so far away from her family and friends, was one of the factors that caused the marriage to end.
Chantelle said: "We're still in love with each other, and that hurts so much because it just didn't work out."
"It hurts me to think that people think my marriage wasn't real," the television star said.
"I found living in Brighton very hard... I had no family, no friends and it was a really hard time for me."
Chantelle stressed that the decision to split was a mutual one, saying: "We both said, we can't do this any more, we can't go on hurting each other like this."
The couple met while appearing on 'Celebrity Big Brother' together in January 2006 and married the following August.
