Channel 4 has confirmed that Jonathan left the 'Big Brother' house last night. The Sun reports today that he was called into the diary room earlier in the day where he was told that his grandmother had died.
The millionaire said "bye everyone, thanks for everything," before he walked into the diary room. The other housemates, although visibly saddened by his departure, didn't seem surprised by his exit.
Gerry was the most upset at the departure and suggested he "might come back".
Jonathan had already spoken about wanting to leave the house. Five days ago, he revealed that he had put on hold or "risked" a number of things to join the house. He added: "I've been so reckless to do this". However, after a nights sleep he changed his mind.
Meanwhile Charley was endearing herself yet again to her housemates last night when she spoke to the others about their future as "C-list" celebrities, reports Digitalspy.
"I don't want to be recognised during the day," Gerry told the others as they sat in the bedroom. "Gerry, in your own little way, you're going to be in the limelight," Charley noted, before telling the others about her own lifestyle.
"I get attention when I go clubbing anyway. All the clubs I go to - the owner always gives me a wristband, to get into the VIP [room]...I think I'm quite a celebrity cos I'm always with celebrities."
"I will be socialising with the same people, avoiding the VIP room like I always do," Gerry responded sternly. "The good looking people are never in the VIP room, they're always outside the VIP room. So trashy."
Sam told Charley's comments would not win her any fans on the outside world: "People will be like: 'Who does she think she is?'"
"That will be used against you," Gerry agreed.
"No it won't!" Charley replied. "Why would it? I'm keeping it real. I don't think they're going to be down on me. Everyone knows me. It might be different for you than me, cos I know celebrities...I meet them all, I know them all, that's who I talk to on the phone. I hang with them...that's my lifestyle. You're different, aren't you? You're a lot older."
