'Grey's Anatomy' star Kate Walsh is to have a new co-star in the new spinoff series from the hit medical show.
TV Guide reports that four-time Tony winner Audra McDonald will play Naomi Bennet, the best friend of Walsh's character, Dr Addison Forbes Montgomery.
The character of Naomi was played in the pilot episode of 'Private Practice' by 'Alias' star Merrin Dungey, but she will not be returning for the new series.
'Private Practice' begins production this month.
