Britney Spears' mother Lynne has played down rumours of a feud between the pair, saying that "everything is going to be fine".
According to People magazine, Lynne Spears said: "I've got a strong family, and everything is going to be fine."
Last week reports claimed that the singer had handed her mother a letter which upset her.
However, the star's mother didn't mention this, saying that she was hoping that her daughter would be joining her for family Fourth of July celebrations.
But the singer wasn't as quick to dismiss the rumours of a rift between her and her mother.
Spears reportedly said of her mother: "I'm praying for her right now. (I hope) she gets all the help she needs."
When asked if the pair could sort out their differences, she said: "In time, who knows what will happen?"
