Kevin Federline has reportedly stalled on signing final divorce papers because he is concerned about Britney Spears' recent behaviour.
According to People magazine, a source close to Federline claimed that the rapper wanted to make sure that it would be possible to change custody arrangements for the couple's two young children at a later date if circumstances changed.
Under their current custody agreement Spears and Federline will continue to share joint legal custody of their two sons after the divorce.
The source told the magazine: "Britney's attorneys are anxious to see Kevin sign off on a divorce. But Kevin and his lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan are dragging their heels out of concern over reports of Britney's post-rehab partying."
The source also said that Federline "wants to make sure that the divorce document makes it simple enough for Kevin to downsize Britney's access to her kids the next time her behaviour troubles him."
Spears recently completed a stint in rehab after previously shaving off all her hair.
