Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman has been named as the new face of Nintendo's latest advertising campaign.

The star, who recently celebrated her 40th birthday, is set to promote 'More Brain Training' from Dr Kawashima, a game in which users test their aptitude with a range of different challenges.

Kidman said: "I love the concept that Nintendo is reaching out to new audiences with their self improvement products like 'Brain Training'."

"Most importantly, I've quickly found that training my brain is a great way to keep my mind feeling young," she said.

Nintendo said that Kidman was chosen for the advertising campaign because of her universal appeal to all age groups.
