Welsh diva Shirley Bassey had a narrow escape last night when her helicopter was forced to land in a school field in Surrey.
The 70-year-old singer was flying to the Pennyhill Park Hotel and Spa after she performed at the Glastonbury festival.
According to Collingwood College principal Jerry Oddie, her helicopter pilot decided to land the craft in their large school field after getting caught in terrible weather conditions.
Earlier in the evening she played a spectacular set in Glastonbury, for which she wore a pink Julien MacDonald frock, singing classic hits including 'Big Spender', 'Get The Party Started', James Bond theme 'Goldfinger' and The Doors hit 'Light My Fire'.
Bassey also thanked the Arctic Monkeys for their rendition of her hit 'Diamonds Are Forever' during their festival appearance on Friday night.
