Pete Doherty plans to marry supermodel Kate Moss this summer providing he is "smack and needle-free."
The Babyshambles singer, who is battling heroin and crack cocaine addiction, makes the revelation in his newly published diaries.
The diaries - extracts from which are in Britain’s Times newspaper today - give an insight into his tempestuous relationship with Moss and detail their violent rows.
He writes during a spell in rehab earlier this year that "smack and needle-free we shall marry in the summer and I become 10 times happier than any given smackhead. Huzzah!"
In his rambling diary entries, Doherty tells of his love for the model, who has a four-year-old daughter by magazine boss Jefferson Hack.
"For single mothers everywhere in love with crackheads, you are a shining light of hope," he says.
He also claims Moss booted him out after a holiday in Thailand - believed to be the New Year trip in which they reportedly took part in a commitment ceremony.
"I have been informed that my behaviour reached an all-time low during the recent visit to Thailand," he writes, adding that their relationship has become "an unbearable and intolerable disaster".
In a second entry he admits: "I have been banging up I confess, and yet my use is extremely moderate and controlled. What am I saying? Kate will not tolerate this, I wouldn't blame her, and alongside the fixing neither of us seem to completely trust each other although I love her and no other and the tiffs and tumults come between magical happy times. The most cherished times are spent in her arms."
The diaries also feature an entry written by Moss, in which she tells Doherty: "You have touched my heart and soul... You make me high, my sweet, my skin shivers and longs to be held by you."
