Simply Red singer Mick Hucknall has become a dad for the first time.
The 47-year-old star's girlfriend Gabriella Wesberry gave birth to a baby girl, Romy True, at London's Portland Hospital on Monday. An announcement on the band's website reads, "Mother and baby are doing fine and Mick is on cloud 9!"
Hucknall and Wesberry first dated in the 1990s. They split up in 1995, while Wesberry was married before the couple eventually reunited in 2003.
The Simply Red singer is rumoured to have dated Catherine Zeta-Jones and supermodel Helena Christensen amongst others.
But last year, Hucknall told the British newspaper the Observer: "I want children. I think it'll happen. I've had a bit of a journey in my life and I'd like to think I can pass some good on."
