'EastEnders' actor John Bardon is currently being treated in hospital after suffering a suspected stroke.
The 67-year-old star, who plays Jim Branning in the show, reportedly collapsed at his home at the end of last week and was immediately taken to hospital.
'EastEnders' executive producer Diederick Santer said: "I am saddened to hear John has been taken ill. My thoughts are with John and his family."
A BBC spokesperson said: "Our thoughts are with him and his family and we ask for his privacy to be respected."
