'Emmerdale' character Louise Appleton is set to fall into the arms of her handyman Jamie Hope.
The pair strike up an unlikely romance after Jamie (Alex Carter) convinces Louise (Emily Symons) to perform karaoke with him at Diane's party.
Carter told Inside Soap: “Without wanting to sound rude, I think he's attracted to Louise because he hasn't got a lot of options right now."
"But I'm sure it's the same for Louise, as she's had a lot of failed romances, and there are very few people in the village who aren't already taken."
Speaking about the storyline, he said: "There's no real moment of romance – Jamie just of sort of dives on her! Fortunately she reciprocates..."
