'Prison Break' star Amaury Nolasco has joined the cast of 'Night Watch', the new police thriller starring Keanu Reeves.

The film, which has been written by 'LA Confidential' writer James Ellroy and will be directed by David Ayer, also stars Forest Whitaker, Hugh Laurie, Chris Evans and Naomie Harris.

The film tells the story of a police officer (Reeves) in an elite unit of the Los Angeles Police Department who begins to question the methods he uses in the course of his work.

Nolasco, who plays Fernando Sucre in 'Prison Break', will next be seen on Irish cinema screens in 'Transformers'; it opens on 27 July.
