George Michael has been banned from driving for two years after admitting to driving while unfit.
The singer was also sentenced to a hundred hours of community service to be carried out over the next year.
Mr Michael was arrested on 1 October 2006 after being found slumped at the steering wheel of his car in the early hours of the morning.
Michael told reporters outside court: "I am glad to put this behind me and now I'm off to do the biggest show of my life."
