Peter O'Toole has signed a deal to play Pope Paul III in the second series of the acclaimed period drama 'The Tudors'.
Variety reports that the actor will appear in seven episodes of the second season.
O'Toole will shoot his scenes later this year.
The storyline for the second season will involve the conflict between Henry VIII (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) and Pope Paul III.
