'Pirates of the Caribbean' actress Keira Knightley is being hotly tipped to play Princess Diana in a film based on the late British royal’s life.
Movie moguls are reported to have been embroiled in a bidding war for the rights to the controversial book, 'Diana and the Paparazzi', at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
It has been reported in The Sun that Knightley is the hot favourite to play the lead role.
Film producer Quentin Reynolds, one of the people trying to secure the rights to the book, hopes that the movie adaptation would be as successful at the box office as 'The Queen', which earned Helen Mirren a Best Actress Oscar.
He said that for every pound 'The Queen' makes, a film about Diana would make ten.
