It has been announced that 'Sex and the City' writer-director-producer Michael Patrick King is to make his big screen debut directing the eagerly-awaited film of the hit series.
MTV reports that the film is due to begin shooting in the autumn, but 'Sex and the City' regular Mario Cantone, who starred as Anthony Marantino in the series, told MTV that none of the stars have inked deals yet.
"They called me about my availability, but nothing’s negotiated," he said. "Hopefully if all the negotiations go well, it will happen in the fall. HBO's just gotta give everybody what they want. It better get done 'cause I want to do it."
The actor added that his character plays a major role in the film.
