Belfast actor Stephen Rea is starring opposite Vinnie Jones, Christopher Lee, Shannyn Sossamon and Gary Stretch in a new crime thriller called 'The Heavy'.
The Hollywood Reporter says the film tells the story of an underworld enforcer (Stretch) who must settle a debt owed to his boss (Rea) by assassinating his boss' brother, a politician who could be the next British prime minister.
Things start to fall apart when the would-be assassin gets involved with a student (Sossamon) whose apartment he intends to use during the crime and a corrupt detective (Jones) starts pursuing him.
Shooting on the film has already begun in the UK.
